Charles H. Burns
CHARLES H. BURNS is a co-founder and has been a Director since the Company’s inception. Mr. Burns is a retired lawyer who practiced law in Florida for 40 years. His practice concentrated in real estate, probate, estate planning, as well as business law. Mr. Burns was a founding Trustee and Member of The Jupiter-Tequesta Humane Society and served on the Board for many years. In 1981, he was elected to the Town Council in Juno Beach and served for fourteen years. Mr. Burns presided over many large-scale developments which came to the town for zoning modification and approval. He acquired significant experience in the functioning of Municipal Governments and Planning and Zoning Boards.
Mr. Burns was instrumental in preserving land for recreation purposes for the general public, including the creation and establishment of Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach which constitutes several hundred acres along the ocean. Mr. Burns served as a Director and Legal Counsel for the Loxahatchee River Historical Society and assisted in the preservation of the land around the Historic Jupiter Lighthouse which can never be developed. He was the principal developer of Surfside Hills, a single-family residential community in Juno Beach, Florida. He founded and managed Atlantic Title, Inc., which closed over $1 Billion in real estate transactions, while he owned the company.
