Corporate Management

Scientific Advisor

David J. Vaughan acts as an advisor to the Company. Dr. Vaughan holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Pathology and Biochemistry from the University of Toronto as well as an M.Sc. in Biochemistry and a B. Sc. in Chemistry from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dr. Vaughan serves as an independent consultant to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry with expertise in several therapeutic areas, including Infectious Diseases, acute/chronic Pain, CNS disorders, Oncology and Gastrointestinal diseases. Dr. Vaughan has guided and successfully completed development programs for several biotechnology companies resulting in IND and CTA approvals in the US and Canada, respectively. Dr. Vaughan has assumed senior corporate positions at the Vice President level or as Chief Development Officer, responsible for preclinical and clinical drug development, Chemistry and Manufacturing Controls (CMC), pipeline drug initiatives, patent support and commercialization strategies. Dr. Vaughan has a lengthy Curriculum Vitae and has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over thirty years.
